Merry Christmas!

Sorry I'm late for my Christmas felicitation, but better late than never. I was visiting my parents and I don't have internet connection over there so I didn't get the chance to post this mani untill now.

As a base I used the one and only, the best Christmas polish ever: China Glaze Jolly Holly.
I put this polish on every Christmas since it was released.

The color reminds me of Christmas tree so I stamped them on and created decorations with rhinestones.
I really love it, I find it to be perfect for holiday spirit!

Golden red Christmas nails

Hello, my dear readers!

I'm continuing with the Christmas mood.
I don't know what's gotten into me lately, I've never been so obsessed with Xmas motives and decoration. I guess I thought the world was gonna end today, so I should use what's left of my time :)

This time I'm wearing red. Not one of my favourite colors, but definitely an Xmas color.
Deborah 161 + Yolizul red glitter (doesn't have a name, sorry) is a base and golden glitter is Milani Gold.

Another Xmas mani

I'm so in Christmas mood this year, I pick only "holiday" colors and stamps.
This time I used a Look by Bipa polish in green-gold color. Oddly, this polish doesn't have a name. I own few Look  by Bipa polishes and they all have a name on the sticker, but this one hasn't. I haven't been able to google it out.

Does any of you own this polish, and do you perhaps know its name?

It reminds me of China Glaze Agro, which I've planned to buy, but never got to it. This is a cheap replacement and I love it. One coat and good resistance (three days without tipwear with Essence BTGN top coat).

For stamping I used, as always, Sally Hansen Chrome polish, and added a red rhinestone to highlight the holiday spirit.

Winter, snow, holidays, etc.

Last weekend it snowed so much in my city that I couldn't go anywhere. My car was stuck under 40 cm of snow and I couldn't go to work so I had to find some way to amuse myself :)

All the snow outside made me pick my favourite white polish: Flormar 120.
I know I probably mentioned how much I love it before, but I must do it once more: it has a milky, creamy structure and has tiny, almost invisible microshimmer that makes it look soft, and not chalky like a wall paint.

Then I added some winter motives with BM plates and decorated them with two way nail art pens.

Do you like them?

First Xmas nails this year!

Xmas nails! :)

It's a little to early to do a holiday mani, but here's the explanation:

I used China Glaze Fast Track for the second time since  purchased it. And for the second time  I conlcuded that it doesn't go well with my skin tone.
So I added scotch tape triangular in Essence All Acces.
While doing it, all that sparkle and shine reminded me of Christmas so I put an accent on my ring finger with Mavala Madrid. Since it wasn't sparkly enough, compared to other nails, I added some no name red glitter polish.

P2 Elegant (new version) with stamping

I once fell in love with P2 Elegant polish.
And I told my friend to get it when she was going on a trip to Germany.
I expected this color:
P2 elegant (Parokeets blog)
Instead I got this one.
P2 changed the colors of the polishes, but left the same names. Extremely ignorant if you ask me.
But I'm glad.
If it wasn't for the confusion in names I would never get my hands on this polish.
This is the best, THE BEST nude of my life. I wish all nude and white-ish polishes had this kind of formula.
It's so easy to put on, it's opaque in just one layer and lasts for days without tipwear.
I love the color, and it's the perfect nude for my yellow-ish skin tone.

Sally Hansen Arabian Nights

Today I have one old polish, from 2009 Sally Hansen's collection  Project Runway.
As I recently purchased Valentino, another shade from the collecction, wonderful shimmery brown, it made me think of this one.

Arabian Nights is a dark purple shade with gorgeous golden shimmer/flecks.
I fell in love the moment I put it on.

It has one little flaw: it dries so slowly that you could have it all day and still get those awful sheet marks at night.
But here comes the savior: Essence Better Than Gel Nails top coat and my nails were dry in 10 minutes.

Enjoy the photos:

Maybelline Colorama Cherry Sweet

I love the way this polish looks in the bottle, but the first time I tried it on, I wasn't satisfied.
It took three coats to achieve opaqueness, and it was still sheer on the tips of my nails. Actually, it is a jelly polish.

And I don't like jellys on me. I never have such long and perfectly shaped nails that can take a jelly polish.

So I put one coat of some tomato red polish (I don't know which one anymore) and then topped it with CS.
And I liked the result.
Only two coats all together and it dried quickly. Nice mani with no effort at all.

The best photo, that shows best the glitter in CS, was taken in shade, so the color may not be completely accurate. The color is more warm, tomato, strawberry (cherry?) red, instead of this colder tone I got in the photo.
But still, this photo shows the best of this mani: it shines like crazy!

And the color accurate photos in the sun.

Blue nails with OPI No Room For The Blues

No Room For The Blues is one of my favourite blues, and I own around 50 shades of blue (no pun intended).
It's medium creme blue, it's perfect to apply and it is opaque in only one coat.

The closest thing I have is Catrice Blue Cara Ciao, also opaque in one coat, but I like OPI more because it seems to me it could last for a week without major tipwear.

I never wore it for a week tohugh, since I still have some untried polishes I don't want to keep waiting to be worn, even though I haven't bought a polish in months (trying to cure my obsession).

On its own it's perfect, but I always enjoy some stamping too.

What's your favourite blue?
 I know that's a tough question. :)

OPI My Private Jet non holo version

Of course I didn't expect to see a holo version of MPJ when I paid only 6$ for it on blogsale, but I was somehow convinced I'd love it anyway.

And I do, don't get me wrong.
I just... Expected more.
I mean this is one of the most famous polishes of all times and I love dark brown polishes.

But I just don't see all the magic in this one.

This photo is taken with a flash.

And these two were taken outside on a gloomy cloudy day.

Catrice Plum Play With Me

I was on a 10 day trip to Germany and I didn't bring my nail accessories. I planned to just repaint my nails once and that's it.

But my little cousin had some other plans for me.
She had told all of her friends I'm a nail artist, and that I could do wonders with nails.  :)
So I had no other choice but to do their nails. All I could think of without my three boxes of polishes, stamps, stickers, rhinestones etc.was plain old bobby pin and polka dots.

So I did mine as well. I wouldn't usually be showing a photo where I haven't cleaned the skin around the nail, but I felt I ought to show you this amazing polish.
It's one of the old Catrice's that they no longer have. And I usually don't buy this kind of color.
But I loved this one and therefore, here's the uncleaned mani:

Wet n' Wild Morbid with pink rhinestones

I'm a sucker for dark green-emerald colors. I own quite a few of them and there are rare ones that put me over the top.

Morbid is one of them. Besides it's awesome color:  emerald shimmer in black base, I also loved the way it looks in just one coat.  I did two for the photos, but one is enough.

And the best thing: it's really cheap! :)

It is so gorgeous all alone, but I put some rhinestones.
I tried  ombre rhinestones this time, and I like how pinky rhinestones go well with this color!

Autumn nails with Essence Barefoot Through the Moss

Hi guys, my nails are doing prety fine, getting bigger and bigger each day.

Today a simple mani in autumn colors with a great one-coater Essence Barefoot Through the Moss. I love that polish ever since I bought it in some of those limited editions.
When I bought it I was in love with Zoya Gemma, but I bought this one, because the base color is the same. Zoya has blue shimmer and Essence has white shimmer.

When I finally bought Gemma I was surprised to see I love Essence better: I love the way it covers my nail in one smooth layer and lasts for days. With Zoya I have to do three coats and still I see tipwear after day or two.

Finally, a new post :)

Same old story: I was working during the summer as a waitress and my nails were short and awful. Besides, if they weren't, I'd still have no time to give them a nice manicure and to take pictures of it...

Now I'm back. My nails are shorter than what I'm used to, but they are growing every day :)

Today's nails are inspired by music for a contest on Croatian forum.
Whole summer I had the same song in my head, and every time I heard it I immediatelly started to sing and feel better.

The song is We Are Young (Fun), and the verse that got me to do this mani is, of course:

So let's set the world on fire, we can burn brighter than the sun....

I'm a Berliner with rhinestones

Summer sun hit me in the head so I wanted to express my summer madness with an apprpriate mani.

I put on Essence I'm a Berliner, a bright Granny Smith apple color, but somehow it wasn't enough.
I added some multicolor rhinestones that I bought on ebay.
I wanted to do each nail different.

I liked the result in the end, but I think the multicolor design would be more suitable for a white base polish.
